The Stuck Point Calculator allows a user to identify the depth at which a pipe is stuck in the hole. Values must be entered using English units. Metric conversions are shown on the right.
To use the Stuck Pipe Calculator:
In the Inputs section, enter the diameters and Yield Strength.
Click Get Calculations to see the Suggested Maximum Pull.
Pull on the pipe to the Suggested Maximum Pull calculated, then slack off of the pipe to a lesser weight at which the pipe is still in tension, measuring the change in depth.
Enter the weights and depth change.
Click Get Calculations to calculate the stuck point depth.
The results are displayed in the Outputs section.
